Floc de Gascogne

Floc de Gascogne

This is a sweet french wine. According to its website Floc de Gascogne is prepared according to an ancient peasant tradition, and is the result of a Gascon recipe dating back to the sixteenth century, passed down by the ancestors of today's wine growers through the centuries.
In 1954, Henri Lamor, a wine grower from Cravencères in the Gers (32) named his aperitif Floc de Gascogne which means ''bouquet of flowers'' in Occitan (old French). At that time it was still a drink which was only served in the family circles of wine growers and its sale was prohibited.
The Floc de Gascogne Producers Union was officially created in 1976.From then on Floc de Gascogne became a trademark and could be sold.
It was in 1990 that Floc de Gascogne got the INAO's approval to become an ''Appellation d'Origine Controlée'' (AOC) and that the interprofessionnal committee was founded.
The barrier of 1 million bottles sold was reached in 1996 and new markets opened up in Northern Europe, mainly in Belgium.
In my opinion it looks like an alcoholic drink with artificial flavours. Muscat de Rivesaltes is much better as aperitive.

Taras Boulba

Taras boulba

This is a decent beer. Pleasant to drink but not specially interesting. you can find it at Cerveteca. Probably the main problem is that it does not offer the minimal alcoholic degree content.

Titan IPA

Titan IPA

This is a good beer. Nevertheless, it does not reach the level of the previous IPA beer. If you can, choose the previous one. You can find it at cerveteca.

0 IPA

This is an outstanding beer. Worth to taste it! plenty of taste and body. The main drawbarck is its place, which is around 6 EUR per bottle at cerveteca.

Old scratch amber lager

Old Scratch amber lager

This is a soft alcoholic beer but plent of taste. The funniest thing is its label. Nevertheless, I do not think that it is a good option if you go to cerveteca

Anno 25 wheat beer, Vigneromine

Anno 25 wheat beer & Vigneromine (lambic made with grape)

While the first one is a very correct wheat beer, the second one is extremely acid, it does not remind a beer, It looks like a cider with some drops of vinegar. While I recommed the first one, I do not recommed the second one. Nevertheless, at cerveteca, they let you try a small amount of this "curious" beer.

Urbock

urbock

This is a smoked beer from Germany. Although it is a surprising taste, nice to taste at least one time in your life, I must say that I won't be a frequent customer of this product.
It seems that the smoked taste is due to the smoking process that suffer the seeds before making the beer. The alcoholic degree is 6,5º, which provides enough body and consistency.
