This is a tribute to an outstanding restaurant in Coimbra. Excellent food and private rooms. Unfortunately I do not have photos of the meals, and I think that this place does not exist any more. Thus, this is a small tribute to this outstanding place.

Piemonte Moscato Capetta

Asti is a small area. Thus, only a small portion of moscatos are moscatos d'asti. The other ones are only "moscatos", such as this one, that costs 4,45 EUR at Alcampo.
it is not as "floral" (reminiscences of flowers) as the other moscatos d'Asti that I have tasted, but it is OK.

Vieil Armagnac 20 ans

Although Armagnac is clearly different from Brandy and cognac and thus, it is difficult to compare, in this case in my opinion, for the price of this armagnac, you can but a better brandy. Too strong for me.

Moscato d'Asti Casa Sant Órsola

This a very good quality/price ratio Moscato d'Asti.
You can find it in Alcampo for 5,15 EUR.
it is not as delicate as the previous commented one, but it is worth to taste it. You can find more information about Moscato d'Asti in my previous post.

Emilio Moro, Finca Resalso 2006

This a new wine produced by the very good Ribera del Duero Cellar: Emilio Moro, Finca Resalso. Although it is a red young crianza wine, let it to oxigenate and it will lose very early the alcocholic smell and will really enhace the taste and smell. the price in a shop is around 7 EUR. Worth to taste it!

This is a large wine seller. The nicest thing is the largest selection of wines ans spirits. According to them: 2500 wines, 500 whiskies, 380 generous wines, 200 brandies, etc.
Although the price is reasonable, you cannot find bargains there.

Strabon, D. O. Toro

This is a tribute to an outstanding wine, strabon, produced by Gil-Luna (daughter and father), that belongs to an outstandig cellar: Vega Sauco (D.O. Toro).
Unfortunately this wine has been discontinued. thus, this is a tribute to this outstanding and perfect wine.
