Glengoyne distillery

Glengoyne distillery
Dumgoyne, Near Killearn, Glasgow

You can easily access this distillery from Glasgow by taking bus number 10. the trip takes one hour. Worth to visit it, although it seems less prepared for visits than other places I have visited (Dublin and Lexington). They offer a very high quality single malt whiskey. Next posts will be devoted to their whiskey.

I disliked that they never showed the barrels to us. They only show these ones, for decorative purposes, outside the buildings:

The counting house

The counting house
St vincent Pl 2, Glasgow

This is a nice place that offers low quality meals (at least the salmon and the burgers)

a nice dish of Reggae Reggae nachos. Worth to taste them (6,89 GBP):
an awful salmon with an awful sauce (liquid butter) and awful vegetables and potatoe (6,59 GBP):

Republic Bier halle

Republic Bier halle
9 Gordon Street, Glasgow

This is a nice place for beers. They have more than 130 from all around the world, including "estrella Damm". Worth to visit if you are tired due to the very soft Glasgow tap beers.

Yate's

Yate's
134 - 136 West George Street, Glasgow

This is a not fashion place that offers a cheap and bad beer called birthday ale. I do not recommend it.
nice colour, not very good taste. Very soft (may be they add water to the beer? nevertheless, this is a general problem in Glasgow. fortunately, you can always order a Guiness).

Tigertiger Glasgow

Tigertiger Glasgow
The Glasshouse, 20 Glassford St, Glasgow

Caesar Salad: Really basic. The lettuce leaves remember me those that you can find in "mercat de la Boqueria" on the floor.

chicken fajitas. Reasonably good quality and quantity. Nevertheless the slices were too large. They should cut it more!:

Royal de Alloza barrica 2003

Royal de Alloza barrica 2003

This is a wine that must be oxigenated in order to develop its potential. It is great with goat cheese. I paid less than 5 eur for this bottle.
